Since 2019, Travis Scott has become well-known for his work with Jordan Brand, and his collection of Air Jordan 1 designs is highly sought-after. In 2024, Scott decided to celebrate an important part of his childhood by applying the colors of Lawrence E. Elkins High School to the famous silhouette. Scott attended Elkins High while living with his parents in Missouri City, during which time he became involved in musical theater productions, allowing him to develop his now legendary performance skills. As well as paying tribute to the school and the hard work of his teachers, Scott also gave back to the students by donating 600 pairs of the Air Jordan 1 Low Canary to be handed out to those graduating in 2024.
Canary yellow tones give this Jordan 1 Low x Travis Scott sneaker a beautiful, light golden glow that is offset by the elegant white underlayer and the deep Racer Blue swooshes on its flanks. In typical Scott fashion, one of these logos has been reversed for a dynamic look. A classic Gum Medium Brown outsole grounds the design, and logos for Jordan Brand, Nike and Travis Scott have been scattered across the Canary insoles. Some of these famous emblems, including those representing Scott’s Cactus Jack record label, reappear on the upper via the delicate white embroidery on the heel and the bright red text upon the medial flank. Lastly, three different shoelaces offer the wearer an element of personalization as each set takes on one of the design’s bright tones, whether it be royal blue, golden yellow or vivid red, for a bold, colorful finish.
