Nike Air Force 1 High x Riccardo Tisci

This stylish Nike Air Force 1 High x Riccardo Tisci adds red, blue and white highlights to a largely black outer. Premium leather panels connected by pristine lines of stitching cover the upper, with overlays wrapping around the forefoot and heel either side of a pair of midfoot segments and a toe box decorated with a unique patch. Resting atop a triangle of perforations, this woven tag was inspired by the NBA logo. As such, it has a blue half and a red half with a white swoosh in the middle and R.T. embroidered beside a star in the bottom corner to signify the collaboration with Italian designer Riccardo Tisci.

Underfoot, the durable rubber sole unit is clearly divided into two parts – a black outsole and a white midsole. The former features ringed contours that radiate out from one central point in the heel and another under the forefoot to give the shoe excellent grip. The latter has a pocket of Air in the heel, as indicated by the lettering embossed onto the lateral heel. Just below this, the letters RT appear, referencing the sneaker’s designer once more.

Additional branding effects grace the rest of the design, firstly on the blue heel panel, which has white Nike and R.T. text embroidered into it. An adjustable nylon ankle strap threads through this heel tab, its central blue band flanked by strips of white before University Red skirts the edges. Elsewhere, the black leather collar and inner lining extend down to a black insole with red branding which resembles that on the heel. Lastly, the sidewalls host the logos of both parties involved in this powerful collaboration – a bright white star with a bold University Red swoosh laid over the top.
