Phantom 6
Nike’s Phantom football boots have been supporting players with advanced performance technologies for over a decade. In 2025, the Phantom 6 gave the series a powerful upgrade that pushes the limits of offensive play.
The Nike Phantom 6’s Tuned Gripknit upper produces exceptional touch and control via soft, grippy microtextured ridges. A firmer, reinforced strike zone allows the player to manipulate the ball and shoot with pinpoint accuracy, while the Gripknit is backed by soft, malleable Flyknit and the supportive heel is made of a stronger material. Its last shape is shorter and more rounded in the toe yet more voluminous overall, molding to the foot and providing a snug, personalized fit. The rigid heel counter keeps things stable, and the plush collar delivers comfort. While the Low version ensures a clean boot-to-ball contact through asymmetric lacing, the High does so with its extended Gripknit and Ghost Lacing system, as its Dynamic Fit collar offers greater ankle protection.
Underfoot, the Phantom 6 has an updated Cyclone 360 plate with extra conical studs that help spread weight evenly across the footbed, improving both comfort and agility. Attack-focused ‘agility flex’ areas inspired by 2017’s Hypervenom 3 facilitate sharp omnidirectional movements while maintaining stability, the studs themselves holding the ground on landing and releasing immediately as the foot lifts.
Vibrant colors and captivating textures give the Nike Phantom 6 a striking esthetic. Small Swooshes adorn each side of the midfoot, with a reversed logo punctuated by bumpy nodules on the lateral heel and another printed onto the cushioned sockliner. On the pitch, its eye-catching look draws the attention of both the crowd and defenders, suggesting speed, skill and a desire to score.
The Phantom 6 was designed using learnings from previous models like the GX and Luna alongside feedback from players at all levels. Elite footballers such as Erling Haaland and Alexia Putellas were consulted and their insights added to the overall picture to ensure that the Phantom 6 allows attack-minded players to pass, dribble and shoot more precisely for a greater goal count.
In June 2025, Haaland reached 300 career goals in the Phantom 6 as Manchester City dominated Juventus at the Club World Cup, and in July, Spain’s Putellas wore it as she lit up the women’s Euro 2025 competition, their scintillating performances showing just how quick, agile and accurate the Nike Phantom 6 is. Both stars also appeared in Nike Football’s ‘Scary Good’ campaign, where they and other exceptional players told footballing stories through the lens of humorous and horror-filled late-night television programs. At its center was the Phantom 6 – a football boot designed for “ferocious attackers” whose fearless play “can bring the fun back to football.”
With its enhanced control and slick movement, its stunning style and its unrivaled comfort, the Nike Phantom 6 is a football boot for the next generation of attacking players.
