Air VaporMax 2021
Nike’s concept of innovation has moved away from performance and toward the more globally pressing issue of sustainability. Symbolized by the fact that the shoe’s net weight is made up of 40+ percent recycled materials.
The 2021 honors the 2020 version in its continuous drive toward sustainability with advanced FlyKnit tech and high performance VaporMax technology. Yet, the primary change comes in the lacing department: the Nike VaporMax 2021 favors standard laces, as opposed to FlyEase on the 2020 edition.
Meanwhile, the main features have seen significant improvements. Originally designed for performance running, the VaporMax’s two Air units are formed in separate pieces which provide more Air underfoot than ever before and are made with about 50 percent recycled materials. They attach to an outsole that incorporates Nike Grind (another Nike tech incorporating recycled materials) to keep the shoe gripping the terrain below. The Air unit connects itself via bolstered recycled TPU clips to the super-stretchy, post-industrial recycled FlyKnit upper. This lightweight innovation now features a soft collar that sculpts your ankle and has been adorned with stitched-on midfoot swooshes for stylistic verve.
One of the largest draws with the Air VaporMax 2021 is the versatile look. No matter what you want to achieve through your fashion choices, the VaporMax 2021 has you covered.
